Thousands of women and men in the UK are being given confidence through clothes and a professional makeover, thanks to fashion stylist duo Style My. They are now coming to Australia for a short visit and will be hosting a Stylist Masterclass in Melbourne and Brisbane.
With more than 20 years of combined experience, Style My founders, Elin Mai and Tanja Mrnjaus have an extensive knowledge of high street and luxury retail. They’re working stylists, helping customers and industry clients as well as managing style teams for events and creative shoots.
The concept behind Style My comes from the duo’s desire to connect real people and stylists with retailers and to make people fall in love with shopping again.
Elin Mai said that she and Tanja formed Style My after seeing many of their clients feel like they are unrepresented in retail and have lost confidence over time.
“We want to inspire people and help them find joy in shopping again. We strongly believe everyone deserves to look good whatever their age, shape, budget and lifestyle. Style My is about not what you wear, but how you style it!” Elin said.
Style My have recently launched Styleover challenges on their website StyleMy.co.uk with ordinary men and women to showcase how to style accessible high street and specialty clothes and accessories.
Tanja said, “We’re confident that we can help draw more shoppers into stores after they see clothes styled on people, just like ourselves.”
STYLIST MASTERCLASS WORKSHOPS
Style My is running a Day in a Life of a Stylist Masterclass workshop, aimed at not only aspiring stylist, but anyone who wants to learn more about enhancing their personal style. Elin and Tanja are inviting people to spend the day with them where they’ll cover all the essential elements of personal styling and shopping.
Tanja said, “This is a rare industry shadowing experience that people should not miss.”
