Organic. A word that is becoming more widely heard these days. But its more than just a trend it’s about making a choice. A choice for health, a choice for you.
September is Australian Organic Awareness Month and celebrities across the nation like Pete Evans, Zoe Naylor, Therese Kerr and Tania Zaetta are embracing the opportunity to share their passion for choosing certified organic to lead happier and healthier lives.
Australian Organic have made her their Official 2015 Brand Ambassador and I couldn’t think of anyone better to chat to about AUstralian Organic Awareness Month than the gorgeous Tania Zaetta.
Tania Zaetta – Tv Presenter, Actress, Natural Beauty Therapist, Pilates Instructor, founder of the ‘Tania Zaetta Online Pilates Weightloss Program and Author of ‘Trim & Tone with Tania’ the new sought after health, fitness, nutrition and Pilates book, just released across stores nationally.
You may know who from Tv shows like ‘Who Dares Wins’ and the odd Bollywood or two but I bet you didn’t know that Tania Zaetta started her career as a qualified Natural Beauty Therapist specialising in health, fitness and nutrition and is also a certified Pilates and Barre Pilates Instructor.
As well as her many tv and media commitments, Tania spends much of her time teaching women how to be trim, toned and healthy with her new ‘Trim & Tone with Tania’ book and Online Pilates & Weightloss Program, and is also one of the Ambassadors for the Australian Certified Organic campaign.
September is Australian Organic Awareness Month with Ambassador Therese Kerr
Following the huge success of its inaugural launch in 2014; Australia’s leading organic industry body, Australian Organic, will once again hold Australian Organic Awareness Month, this year in September.
‘We had a massive reaction to our campaign last year’ comments Australian Organic’s Commercial General Manager, Joanne Barber, ‘with fantastic support from media, producers, retailers and celebrities, we are excited to be announcing it is back again in September – and it will be bigger this year!’
We have chosen to hold the month-long campaign in September this year as it aligns with the US and UK celebrations of bringing awareness to ‘organic’.
This September, Australian Organic aims to highlight not only the diversity of industries under the certified organic banner, but also instil confidence with Australians that by looking for produce and products displaying the ‘Bud’ logo means you are buying a product you can trust.
‘Being certified organic means that a product is cruelty free, non GM, pasture fed, socially responsible, sustainably fished, biodiversity friendly and of course grown free from harsh synthetic pesticides, herbicides, hormones and antibiotics.’ Barber continues ‘so when you shop, look for items displaying the Australian Certified Organic logo.’
Australian Organic Awareness Month will run from 1st-30th September.
Last years’ campaign saw a significant increase in consumer research into the certified organic market and an increase in sales at a retail level.
‘Our clients have told us that during and post the campaign last year, they had more customers than ever ask for certified organic products. We are thrilled, as it means our great team, together with ambassadors, are doing a fantastic job in spreading the message on our bud logo!’ continues Barber.
Certified organic products being promoted throughout Awareness Month will range from food and beverages to cosmetics, textiles, gardening products and even pet food.
Australian Organic Awareness Month this year will include in-store promotions with retailers across the country inviting shoppers to enter various competitions to win Australian Organic packs.
‘We have more partners involved this year and aim to showcase an even wider range of our clients produce. It is such a great opportunity for our local, home grown certified organic clients to get a platform to promote their products.’, comments Barber, ‘We’re always excited by the level of involvement from our goodwill ambassadors who collaborate with Australian Organic to bring awareness about sustainable farming, food and fibre production systems.’
This year Australian Organic will be giving away a five night escape to the exclusive Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat, located in the Hinterland of Queensland’s Gold Coast. This resort; part-owned by Hugh Jackman; has partnered with Australian Organic to help celebrate Australian Organic Awareness Month.
In addition to Jackman’s resort; Australian Organic will next week release the list of sponsors, partners and celebrities ambassadors that will join the campaign this year.
‘We have been overwhelmed with the support from local and international talent’ continues Barber ‘it is such a great campaign to be part of and we are so excited to be announcing our team soon!’

PINK HOPE CHARITY’S KRYSTAL BARTER INSPIRES TAM WRIGLEY FROM iStyle TV
Krystal was only 22 years old when she discovered she had the BRCA1 gene fault, the same gene made famous by Angelina Jolie that gave them up to an 87% chance of developing breast cancer.
Krystal’s mother, grandmother and great-grandmother all fought breast and ovarian cancer at increasingly earlier ages so in 2009, when she was 25 years old, and with two young sons at home, Krystal had a preventative double mastectomy.
Having experienced the isolation and lack of information for “at risk” families like hers, Krystal created an organisation that had prevention at its heart and ensured families could assess, understand and manage their own risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
